Pro Bono Legal Specialist Program
Since 1990 more than 8,000 volunteers—judges, attorneys, law professors and legal specialists—have contributed more than $350 million in pro bono assistance to promoting the rule of law throughout the world.
The ABA Rule of Law Initiative (ROLI) and Center for Human Rights (CHR) are currently seeking candidates to fill positions both at our headquarters in Washington, DC and abroad in our field offices. ABA ROLI and ABA CHR offer a wide range of opportunities that call upon diverse academic and professional backgrounds. Successful applicants would join a dynamic team of program staff, who are dedicated to promoting the rule of law in Africa, Asia, Europe and Eurasia, Latin America and the Caribbean, and the Middle East and North Africa. Those candidates with relevant language skills, experience living abroad, and familiarity with United States Government funding requirements are particularly encouraged to apply.
