Donate Now and Support the Rule of Law

The ABA Rule of Law Initiative’s (ABA ROLI’s) programs are critical to improving global justice, and our successes would not be possible without the dedicated support of our donors. Since 1990, support for ABA ROLI programs has helped us reach a growing number of countries and assist legal professionals around the world working to design solutions to justice challenges.

ABA ROLI has helped tens of thousands of people access justice in their communities; supported thousands of law students and young activists who have become leaders in the justice sector; and analyzed hundreds of laws governing issues like public participation and women’s rights. Today, however, the need for a strengthened rule of law persists. Too many are unable to fully realize their fundamental freedoms and economic opportunity. Let’s change that together. Give the gift of justice.

Please consider sharing your commitment to the rule of law with your friends and family, and asking them to consider making a gift themselves. Together, your donations will grow into long-term solutions to today’s most challenging rule of law problems. There are different tax deductible ways to give including online donations, the gift of stock, and planned estate giving.

ABA ROLI is leading international efforts to address the world’s most pressing challenges related to accessing justice and human rights. Make a donation today.

Each year, ABA ROLI undertakes hundreds of programs around the world, leveraging pro bono assistance wherever possible, to make a real difference in people’s lives. Examples of the impact of funding for our programs include:

  • $15 — can provide a Mexican lawyer with materials for an adversarial trial skills training
  • $250 — can support a police officer’s participation in a week-long forensics training in Guatemala
  • $600 — can allow one Russian law student to attend a week-long human rights skill school
  • $1,500 — can support one participant at a Southeast Asia regional training to improve cross-border collaboration and investigation techniques to combat human trafficking
  • $10,000 — can sustain a month of operations for a legal aid clinic in the Democratic Republic of Congo

These examples are illustrative, and all undesignated contributions to ABA ROLI will be used where and when the funds are most needed.
