Women Judges of Afghanistan: Webinar
Nov 5, 2021 03:00 PM EST
The plight of women judges in Afghanistan grows more perilous with each day. Following the release of individuals found guilty and sentenced by many of these women judges since the U.S. withdrawal, these judges have faced threats of death and violence, and no longer are safe in their own country. This program will speak to the actions being taken by non-governmental organizations, describe the harrowing journey of those who attempted to leave Afghanistan in the last days of the U.S. presence, and will describe what you and your colleagues can do now to assist those who remain in Afghanistan who still are seeking an exit, as well as those who have found temporary refuge in countries around the world.
