The Immigration Advocates Network invites you to a free webinar, "Navigating the Afghan SIV Process," on Thursday, December 2nd at 2:00 Eastern / 1:00 Central / 12:00 Mountain / 11:00 Pacific.
This roundtable will:
- explain the Afghan SIV application process
- highlight common challenges
share best practices and - offer an extended question and answer session for legal practitioners and advocates.
Presenters will address attorney, caseworker, applicant, and employer perspectives on the SIV process.
Topics will include the Chief of Mission process, I-360 petitions, the employer's role in the SIV process, best practices for communicating with applicants, Afghan civil documentation, visa processing, adjustment, follow-to-join options, and available resources for applicants and advocates.
The panelists are Ghulam Ahmadi, of the Zuhmat Group; and Jennifer Patota, Stephen Poellot, and Sohail Shariq of the International Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP). Megan McDonough (IRAP) will moderate.
