ABA Letter Expresses Concerns About Afghanistan Judges to Secretary of State Antony Blinken

Dear Mr. Secretary:

I am writing you on behalf of the American Bar Association, the world’s largest voluntary association of lawyers, judges, and legal professionals, to express the ABA’s strong support for continuing efforts of the U.S. government to facilitate the evacuation from Afghanistan for lawyers and judges at risk. Judges and other representatives of the Afghan justice system have frequently been the targets of Taliban violence and risk death or imprisonment if they remain in that country.
