Brenda Maldonado, Program Officer, joined ABA ROLI in November 2019. Maldonado has experience working on immigration issues, workers’ rights, and youth-suicide prevention programs domestically, and experience working on projects focused on migrant crises and education policy in Switzerland and Senegal, respectively. Prior to working at ABA ROLI, Maldonado worked as a Program Officer for sub-Saharan Africa at Heartland Alliance International, where she worked on HIV/AIDS, Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR), Women’s Empowerment, and Mental Health projects. She is fluent in English, Spanish, and French and received a B.A. in French (minors in Political Science and Global Studies) from Nebraska Wesleyan University, and an M.A. in Bilingual and Multicultural Education from the University of Alcala.
