Ary Boltansky recently joined the ABA ROLI as a Program Associate for the LAC Division. Previously, he served as Deputy Director for Engagement and Research of Community Conversations for America, where he conducted research on community habits with the goal of combating political polarization resulting from disinformation on social media. Prior to that, he completed his Master of Arts in Latin American and Hemispheric Studies at George Washington University, focusing on governance and economic development. For his final capstone/thesis, he examined Argentina's unsuccessful policies in addressing high levels of arsenic in water sources in La Puna, Salta, Argentina, and elaborated different alternatives to make effective different policies regarding the social development of the province. During his master's program, he was elected president of LATAM@GW, the primary professional-student organization focused on Latin America at George Washington University. In this role, he organized and hosted events featuring experts and notable political figures from the region, including former presidents, ambassadors, ministers, governors, and more. Ary also interned at the University College of London, where his responsibilities involved locating documents that supported the labor rights of immigrant workers from Mexico to the United States under the NAFTA treaty of 1994. Prior to that, he obtained a Bachelor of Liberal Arts in Political Science with a Minor in International Studies from the University of West Florida. Lastly, while he was a bachelor’s student, he interned at a law firm in Argentina, where he conducted research on the legislation of Argentine governmental organizations AFIP (Federal Administration of Public Income) and UIF (Unit of Financial Information). Ary was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and is fluent in both English and Spanish.
