Amy Halbrooks joined the ABA as Program Associate in the Asia Division in January 2021. Previously she worked as a Research Intern for the Human Rights Initiative at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) while earning her Masters of International Policy and Development at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies. In addition to her Master’s degree, she has a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Virginia, where she double-majored in French and Global Development Studies. Her international work and study experience spans China, France, and Indonesia and she speaks French, Mandarin Chinese, and Indonesian. She is a YES-Abroad Scholar and Critical Language Scholarship Alumna.
