Lillian Dang, Senior Technical Advisor in the Asia & Pacific Division, has over ten years of experience in rule of law, governance and peacebuilding in Asia. Prior to joining ABA ROLI in March 2019, she was the executive director of a non-profit organization, managing the implementation of a Department of State's Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL)-funded legal education initiative in Afghanistan. From 2013 to 2015, Lillian was as a Senior Program Officer for the United States Institute of Peace in Afghanistan, where she designed and managed initiatives on the Afghan Constitution, Islamic law, land conflict, peace education and traditional dispute resolution. She has also worked in Cambodia and Timor-Leste. Ms. Dang holds an LL.M in International Law from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University, and an LL.B from the University of New South Wales, Australia. She is an admitted lawyer in Australia.
