Elisabeth Baraka, Director of the Asia & the Pacific Division, has 20 years’ experience as a lawyer and international development professional. Prior to joining ABA ROLI in April 2017, she managed international legal programs and partnerships globally at Advocates for International Development in the UK. In this role, she established business and human rights programs in Kenya and India, and engaged national and international law firms in pro bono legal work to further sustainable development. Prior to that, in Australia, Ms. Baraka led the Homeless Persons' Legal Service (NSW) at the Public Interest Advocacy Center, and practiced as a lawyer in law firms in Sydney. She has honors degrees in law and psychology from the University of Sydney and a Master of International and Community Development from Deakin University.
