GAO in Action at the 2025 Midyear Meeting
We look forward to seeing so many of you at the 2025 ABA Midyear Meeting in Phoenix, Arizona, from January 30 to February 3. This is your first opportunity of the new Congress to connect with colleagues, engage in critical advocacy discussions, and see firsthand how the ABA is driving meaningful change in the new year.
Where to Find Us
Stop by the GAO Pop-Up Booth to chat with our Governmental Affairs Office (GAO) team, pick up resources, and learn more about advocacy efforts ramping up in the new session. We will be outside key events like the Young Lawyers Division (YLD) Assembly and other high-traffic areas like Registration.
Want to dive deeper? Join GAO staff during scheduled presentations and roundtable discussions to explore legislative updates, advocacy strategies, and ways to strengthen your engagement with policymakers. See the full schedule here for more information.
Shaping the ABA’s Legislative Priorities
A cornerstone of the Midyear Meeting will be the Board of Governors’ review of the GAO’s proposed federal legislative and governmental priorities for the ABA during the 119th Congress. The Board’s decision will set the Legislative Priorities for the 119th Congress. This is where the feedback and perspectives you’ve shared help determine the ABA’s policy and advocacy goals for the next two years. Thank you, again, to the thousands of members who participated.
Advocacy Opportunities Year-Round
Looking to make an impact during the 119th Congress? Don’t miss out on previews of ABA Day, our premier advocacy event in Washington, D.C., on April 9–10, 2025. You’ll also hear about other year-round advocacy initiatives, including grassroots engagement, legislative campaigns, and opportunities to work with our Key Contacts program.
Whether you’re a seasoned advocate or exploring ways to make an impact, the Midyear Meeting is packed with sessions and resources to support your efforts.
