While the American Bar Association’s largest advocacy event, ABA Day, was previously solely an in-person event, since 2020, there has also been a robust online component. The online advocacy component features our Congressional Messaging Portal, which is hosted on a grassroots platform created by Quorum Analytics. Over the last five years, the ABA’s Digital and Grassroots Advocacy team have built out this Portal to make it as user-friendly as possible, while maintaining the proper messaging.

Through the Congressional Messaging Portal, ABA members and legal professionals around the country can send preformatted or personalized messages, post on social media, and make phone calls directly to their Senators and Representatives. Using the Portal also ensures that messages to elected officials bypass congressional firewalls.

Visitors to our Portal will find several advocacy campaigns all in one place. Thus, we can track advocacy actions by each individual advocate and assess points for the various actions taken. That’s how the Governmental Affairs Office (GAO) awarded ABA-branded Apple AirPods to our highest point earner after our most recent ABA Day. More importantly, the ability to track advocacy actions helps GAO stay informed on who and when members of Congress are contacted about ABA advocacy issues, and where there might be gaps that we need to fill.

To learn more about Quorum’s grassroots platform and other capabilities, and to see our Congressional Messaging Portal in action, visit the ABA Day page here.

Quorum served as the Premier Sponsor for ABA Day 2024, and Barbara Howard, LPA, served as our Event Sponsor. We appreciate their generous support of this important association-wide advocacy event. Barbara Howard also served as the ABA Day Planning Committee Chair for the past two years, and we thank her sincerely for her excellent leadership.

Visit the ABA Grassroots Action Center regularly to see all of the ABA’s active advocacy campaigns.
