    Virtual ABA Day 2022

    Thanks to all who participated in this year’s ABA Day , the legal profession’s largest lobby day of the year. For the third year in a row it was held virtually because of ongoing health and security concerns.

    Advocate of the Month

    We're proud to honor Ersoy Zırhlıoğlu as our Advocate of the Month for April 2022 for his outstanding advocacy during ABA Day! Ersoy is a 2022 Fellow with the ABA Dispute Resolution Section, and scholar dedicated to excelling in alternative dispute resolution methods. He utilizes ADR in international business law, intellectual property, international commercial law, and international trade law. He also dedicates half of his time to pro bono work. Dr. Zırhlıoğlu is currently organizing national and international events for the ABA and trying to increase the international membership. His goal is to create a unique dispute prevention and settlement center, tailored to each client's and dispute's unique differences. After spending an amazing decade in the US and Canada, he returned to Turkey, where he is currently practicing in his own law office as an attorney, arbitrator, WIPO neutral and legal consultant.

    About the Washington Letter

    The ABA Washington Letter is a monthly publication produced by the Governmental Affairs Office to report and analyze congressional and executive branch action on legislative issues of interest to the ABA and the legal profession. The newsletter highlights ABA involvement in the federal legislative process and focuses on the association's legislative and governmental priorities and other issues on which the ABA has policy.
