Annual Review of the Field of National Security Law draws hundreds

Hundreds of participants gathered in Washington, DC, on Nov. 14-15 to hear leading experts speak during the 26th Annual Review of the Field of National Security Law. Topics at the event, sponsored by the ABA Standing Committee on Law and National Security, included  the DoD Law of War Manual, cyber challenges, humanitarian challenges, and legal issues in civilian/military relations. A panel entitled “National Security and the Courts” featured (from left above): moderator Thurgood Marshall Jr., partner, Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP; James A. Baker, general counsel, Federal Bureau of Investigation; Miguel Estrada, partner, Gibson Dunn; and James Orenstein, U.S. magistrate, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
