Ravy Uong, Program Manager for ABA ROLI's Africa Division, joined ABA ROLI in 2021 where he started out on ABA ROLI's Asia Division, supporting our projects on access to justice and judicial strengthening work in Asia and co-organizing an internal learning series on the intersection of emerging technologies with justice sector issues. He has lived and worked across Southeast Asia including implementing programming related to good governance and earlier in his career served as a resident fellow with a local NGO in Timor-Leste. In addition to his international development experience, he has held leadership roles in grassroots and political advocacy, most recently as the national fellowship director for a U.S. political action committee supporting swing-district congressional candidates in the 2018 midterm elections. While in graduate school, he served as a summer associate with Southeast Asia’s leading government affairs firm, where he split his time between Myanmar and Thailand in 2019. He holds a M.A. degree from The Fletcher School at Tufts University and a B.A. from Wesleyan University.
