Zlata Unerkova, Sr. Program Manager, manages ABA ROLI’s Eastern and Southeastern Europe portfolio. She has over a decade of progressive work experience providing strategic day-to-day management of multi-year programs in Eastern Europe, Southeast Asia, Africa, Central America and the Eastern Caribbean. Prior to returning to ABA ROLI, she served as a Program Manager with the National Center for State Courts where she managed both USG and non-USG funded programming. From 2013 to 2018, she worked on the ABA ROLI’s Balkans portfolio where she leveraged her past field experience working on good governance and democratic capacity building in the Balkans. She graduated summa cum laude with honors in government from St. Lawrence University and holds a Master of Jurisprudence (MJ) in Rule of Law for Development from Loyola University Chicago, School of Law. She speaks Macedonian, English, Spanish, Bosnian, and Serbian.
