Amanda Quinn joined the American Bar Association Rule of Law Initiative (ABA ROLI) in May 2024. She is a Program Manager in ABA ROLI’s Middle East and North Africa division. Most recently, Amanda worked at the National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism (START) at the University of Maryland, managing data collection for the Global Terrorism Database. Prior to START, Amanda worked in the international development sector, focusing on peacebuilding, conflict prevention, governance, and elections – first at the Fund for Peace and then at Creative Associates International. At the Fund for Peace, she worked on several peacebuilding and conflict early warning programs in West Africa. She managed the research and development of 14 Country Risk and Vulnerability reports focused on improving ECOWARN, a conflict early warning system in West Africa. While at Creative, Amanda worked as on a digital development team where she managed a technical area focused on addressing disinformation and misinformation related to elections and governance. Amanda holds a B.A. in Global Studies and Political Science and a minor in Russian from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
