Liz Parajas, Deputy Chief of Party, joined ABA ROLI in March 2020. Prior to joining ABA ROLI, she worked at the Philippine Senate; the Commission on Human Rights of the Philippines; and the Center for Reproductive Rights as a local consultant for their Philippine program. Over the course of her career, Ms. Parajas has worked on legal reform, and strengthening of institutional programs on sexual and reproductive, health and rights. She has also worked with local civil society organizations on programs relating to human rights defenders, children’s rights, and national institutions for gender equality and non-discrimination. Ms. Parajas has more than 15 years of extensive experience on various human rights issues. With ABA ROLI, Ms. Parajas has worked on the Indigenous Peoples Rapid Response Project and is currently focused on the Access to Justice and Support for the Rule of Law program.
Ms. Parajas received her LL.M. in International Human Rights Law from the University of Hong Kong. She has a Bachelor of Law degree from the Far Eastern University and a Bachelor of Arts major in Political Science.
