Irina Goldberg has nearly 20 years of international development and rule of law experience. As director of ROLI’s Asia division, she now leads ABA global initiatives across the Asia-Pacific region. Irina has also worked with and led ABA global initiatives in Central Asia and the Caucasus, as well as across Eastern Europe, including in the Balkans, Ukraine, and Moldova, first as a program manager and later as Deputy Director of the Eastern Europe division.
Irina began her career as a human rights lawyer and director of a legal-education program in Russia. She later worked with a United Nations Development Program governance project in Sierra Leone, focusing on rebuilding the country’s court system which had been devastated during a decade-long civil war. Irina earned an M.P.A. from Princeton University’s School of Public and International Affairs, a B.A. in political science from the University of Oregon, and a degree in jurisprudence from Syktyvkar State University in Russia.
