Nicole Brown is a Program Officer for ABA ROLI's Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) division.

Prior to joining ABA ROLI in March 2022, Nicole was a Crisis and Response Intern at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). At UNDP, she supported livelihoods and economic recovery work in Peru, Turkey, and Burundi that focused on creating digitally enabled livelihoods for forcibly displaced populations. Nicole’s prior experience also includes working with the United Nations Office of Rule of Law and Security Institutions (OROLSI) as a Political Affairs Intern that worked on budgetary matters and policy work. At OROLSI, she assisted with different projects such as virtual assessment mission to evaluate a UN program supporting rule of law and security sector reform in Somalia. Nicole was a Budget and Management Intern at the United States Mission to the United Nations that focused on 5th committee matters (administrative and budgetary work).

During her studies, Nicole graduated as an Honors Scholar Student with a bachelor’s degree in International Studies, a minor in German and a Global Engagement certificate from the University of Michigan-Dearborn in Spring 2019. During her undergraduate career, she studied abroad in Valencia, Spain and took Spanish for Professionals courses, in addition to interning in the office of one of the Canadian Members of Parliament in Ottawa. Afterwards, Nicole earned a master’s degree in 2021 from the University of Salamanca in Nationalism and Conflict Management. Nicole is fluent in both English and Spanish.
