Background
Starting in 2011 and by 2016, Panama fully transitioned its criminal justice system from inquisitorial to accusatorial. To help Panama with this transition, ABA ROLI promoted coordination between forensics laboratories and other law enforcement agencies to address criminal investigations and prosecutions; and partnered with Panama’s academic sector to improve law students' skills within the new system.
