Papua New Guinea faced rising conflict, poverty, and instability, in part because of extractive industries’ lack of responsible engagement with local communities. ABA ROLI’s programming sought to combat violence and human-rights abuses associated with extractive industries, and support efforts related to anti-corruption and women’s rights.
