ABA Staff Diversity Council

Background: Goal III of the American Bar Association is to eliminate bias and enhance diversity. Towards this goal, the Staff Diversity Council is working to promote full participation in the Association by all staff persons. Working with the ABA Human Resources Department and Office of the Executive Director, the ABA is building on the work of the Diversity Task Force to fully implement the Staff Diversity Plan (SDP) developed and instituted in 2012. The ABA’s efforts to be diverse and inclusive are ongoing and the development of the Diversity Council is designed to ensure that several areas identified in the SDP have appropriate staff engagement and input, are monitored regularly, and become institutionalized practices.

The ABA Staff Diversity Council is composed of staff in both DC and Chicago. For more information, please visit the ABA Staff Diversity Council website or contact co-chair Michael Gadson after you begin work.
