ABA Welcome Book
You will receive your Welcome Book while in Human Resources. This book will include your computer login, phone setup instructions and other pertinent information to help you become acclimated into the Association.
New Staff Onboarding
New Staff Onboarding sessions are held on your start date. Chicago sessions will be held on Lower Level 1 and Washington DC sessions will be held in the Sandra Day O’Connor Conference Room. Orientation includes collection of new hire paperwork, a review of ABA policies, benefits information, a tour of the building and other pertinent information.
Paving the Way for Success at the ABA
Congratulations on your new position! To ensure a smooth transition into working at the American Bar Association you should explore this site so you are well prepared for your first days and weeks, and understand what you need to do and when.
Get your Photo ID/Key FOB
The Human Resources Department will take your photo on your first day of employment. Your ID card will give you access to the building, ABA’s offices on floors LL1-2 and 16-21. You will need to carry your ID card to enter on these floors. Your keycard will also give you access to the Chicago fitness center at 321 North Clark Street, located on the 3rd floor.
The Administrative Services Department will assign a building key FOB for access into the building and floors 4-5. Your key FOB will also give you access to the DC Fitness Center located on the Lower Level of the building.
