Laughter roared inside Courtroom 3A in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania as Teddy Reese explained the hypothetical origins of the “Pittsburgh Salad” during the 2014 International Oratory Competition at the ABA YLD Spring Conference on May 16, 2014. As Reese continued to discuss whether the Pittsburgh Salad was a delicacy, members of the audience found themselves blushing with embarrassment, laughing hysterically, or both. Although Reese did not walk away from the Oratory Competition as its winner, his presentation stood out as among the most provocative of the day.
