Dates: June 16–July 13
Courses: A unique survey of Chinese law topics: structure of the legal system, legal history, civil law, civil procedure, constitutional law, administrative law, criminal law & procedure, mediation, arbitration, contract law, joint venture law, environmental and energy law, foreign investment law, foreign trade law, maritime issues, and private int’l law issues (6 credits).
Tuition/fees: $3,875, includes housing (shared room and shared bath), all meals, 3-day trip to Hangzhou, 1-day trip to Suzhou, and field trips to a criminal trial, mediation, international joint venture, and a law office. $200 deposit due March 1, final payment due April 1. Early enrollment discount available before February 1. After March 1, additional $100 late deposit required if space is available.
Housing: All rooms air-conditioned, information on upgrades for private room and bath available in January.
Requirements: Good standing at an accredited law school. Also open to law school graduates.
