Attend Your Spring Circuit Meeting

Vol. 39 No. 5

Beginning in February,  law students from across the country will meet to learn professional skills, network with experienced lawyers, and help determine the future direction of the ABA Law Student Division.

The Division’s 15 circuits will meet this spring to host individual regional meetings. Spring meetings offer attendees opportunities to meet other students to discuss the common issues affecting their schools, hear from practicing lawyers, and to learn about new developments in the field of law. Additionally at these meetings, law students in each circuit will elect a fellow student to serve as the circuit’s governor for the 2011–12 academic year.

Spring meetings are open to all law students, but only two certified delegates from each school are eligible to vote.

“The spring meetings are crucial for ABA representatives and SBA presidents to attend because the highest ranking circuit leader is elected to represent the circuit for the next year,” says Kevin Johnson, a third-year student at the University of Alabama School of Law and current chair of the Division. “Other students should attend in order to benefit from the awesome programming and networking opportunities.”

Visit the Division website to learn where your circuit will meet and the dates of the meeting.
