The Caddo Parish Commission has confirmed Section Vice-Chair Donna Y. Frazier’s appointment as the new parish attorney for Caddo Parish.

“We are extremely proud of Ms. Frazier and are confident she will serve the residents of Caddo Parish with great distinction,” said Dr. Woodrow Wilson, parish administrator.

Frazier is the first African-American female in the history of the parish to serve in this position. She has served as the assistant parish attorney for the past eight years. Before joining the parish attorney’s office, she was an assistant Caddo district attorney for eight years where she served as section chief of the drug section for the last years of her tenure.

Frazier is a graduate of the University of Texas School of Law and holds a bachelor of arts degree in political science from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge.
