“Fracking” is both a technology—HVHF—and shorthand for controversy about domestic shale oil and gas exploration and its environmental, community and economic effects—the “fracking wars.” Four experts present current examples of the benefits and impacts of shale exploration, from urban to rural. All the panelists, including the moderator, are authors of Beyond the Fracking Wars: A Guide for Lawyers, Public Officials, Planners, and Citizens, due to launch in April 2013.
