Past Section Chair Dwight Merriam has joined the Owners’ Counsel of America as the attorney member for Connecticut. The OCA has recognized Dwight’s successful representation of property owners in eminent domain, inverse condemnation, and other property rights matters as a partner in the Hartford, Connecticut, office of Robinson & Cole.

On Tuesday, June 5, 2012, Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick announced the nomination of Boston attorney Paul D. Wilson to the Massachusetts Superior Court bench.
Paul is one of the senior partners at the firm of Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovksy and Popeo in Boston, with an active litigation and pro bono practice. He is a graduate of Princeton University (B.A. cum laude, 1975) and New York University School of Law (J.D. with honors, 1981).
A long-time active Section member, Paul is a past member of Council and a past chair of the Section’s Land Use Committee. Readers of The Urban Lawyer will recognize him as the author of the Constitutional Claims for Damages in Land Use Litigation report for the journal’s annual “Recent Developments” issue.
He will take his seat on the Superior Court bench in September.
