Each year the American Bar Association Death Penalty Representation Project celebrates the work of volunteer death penalty lawyers at its Volunteer Recognition Event. This year’s event will be held during the ABA Annual Meeting in Chicago, Illinois, August 2-5, 2012. Law firms will be honored with our Exceptional Service Award for their dedication to pro bono death penalty representation, and the John Paul Stevens Guiding Hand of Counsel Award will recognize an individual attorney who has shown extraordinary courage and commitment to representation in capital cases.

We hope you will join us as we honor those who seek justice for the men and women on death row. Additional information and formal invitations will be distributed in the coming months. For more information about this event or our annual awards, please visit our event webpage or contact Rebecca Katz at rebecca.katz@americanbar.org
