In the 21st century, it’s a global marketplace filled with clients that increasingly need cross-border legal services. In response, the practice of law is taking on an international flavor.
Law firms are opening foreign branch offices, joining international referral networks, homing in on cross-cultural marketing strategies, studying the regulations of foreign jurisdictions, and more—much more—in their efforts to court prospects and retain clients doing business in far-flung regions.
