Spring is a busy and exciting time for the LPM Section, with several opportunities for Section members to network, plan for the ABA Annual Meeting, and take advantage of more CLE and publication offerings each month. The highlight is the Section Spring Meeting, to be held this year in conjunction with ABA TECHSHOW® in Chicago, April 20-23. The world’s premier legal technology conference is now in its 20th year, and advance registration numbers indicate that the event will attract its highest attendance in years. The conference features more than 60 educational sessions in multiple tracks, along with interest group roundtables and demonstration/training sessions hosted by exhibiting companies. The two-day expo, April 20-21, features more than 100 legal technology companies showcasing the latest in legal technology products and services. The LPM Spring Meeting continues through Sunday, April 23, including a networking reception on Friday, April 21, for all attendees of both ABA TECHSHOW and the LPM Section Meeting.
The LPM CLE Teleconference Series (with 60- to 90-minute audio seminars you can join from your desk) continues in April and May with programs emphasizing the effective use of technology. The April teleconference will be broadcast live from ABA TECHSHOW, Thursday, April 20, for those who are unable to attend the conference. The May teleconference, “ A Technology Survival Guide for Solos and Small Firms,” to be presented Thursday, May 18, will feature prominent ABA presenters and contributors to ABA’s popular book Flying Solo , 4th Edition. LPM members receive a substantial discount on tuition rates for these affordable programs. Complete details on both programs are available on the LPM Web site at www.lawpractice.org/cle.
