Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee
Welcome to the Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee of the ABA, Solo, Small Firm and General Practice Division.
As the Co-Chairs of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee, we are excited to work with you.
This committee draws together ADR professionals from across the country to network with fellow ADR professionals, learn about ADR, and explore new ADR techniques.
We welcome your participation in the committee and hope you will take an active part in a project, a program, or attend our conference calls and meetings. We are actively seeking volunteers to speak at our bimonthly Developments in ADR conference calls. Please feel free to participate in our list serve and discussions. Any suggestions for links to resource materials and programs or topics for discussion would be helpful.
We look forward to working with you and the legal community with updates and insights into the practice of the Committee.

Lisa Jill Dickinson
Lisa exemplifies diversity in many ways. She works in a relatively small-town market (Spokane, WA) and is a successful female solo practitioner minority lawyer practicing business law. When she began practicing law in 1999, she knew of only two practicing female civil litigator partners in firms in her town. When asked what “diversity” means to her, she states,
Diversity to me is the inclusion of others who are different from you, whether that is socially, in groups, or in making business decisions. Adding different thoughts and perspectives to the table, or to the project, will make what you are doing so much more valuable to an entire group of people whom you may not have reached when only including non-diverse views.
