Trademark Fundamentals: An Overview of the United States Patent and Trademark Office Federal Registration Process
Wednesday, January 23
12:00 p.m. Central
Many general practitioners have little exposure to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) federal registration process. This important area that could involve significant assets should be understood by all practitioners providing any legal advice to businesses. This overview course of basic fundamentals from the perspective of in-house and outside counsel will address the trademark application process and aspects of USPTO prosecution, along with tactics for issue spotting around activities that could impact clients' intellectual property business assets.
Faculty: Rene LaForte Guess (Moderator), Dawn Cassie, Maureen Beacom Gorman, and Joseph “Casey” Mangan
