The Division Name Change
The ABA House of Delegates approved the Division name change to the Solo, Small Firm and General Practice Division at the ABA Annual Meeting on August 6, 2012. The ABA Constitution and ABA Bylaws, as well as the Division’s bylaws, were revised to include the name change. The brand “GPSolo” will continue to be used. A copy of the Division’s current bylaws may be found on the Division’s website. Additionally, the Division now has a new e-mail address (email@example.com) and a new URL (www.americanbar.org/gpsolo).

Call for Nominations of 2013–2014 Officers and Council Members
The Nominating Committee will meet during the 2012 Fall Leadership Meeting to nominate individuals for the positions of Secretary and Members-at-Large of the Council. In accordance with Section 4.4 of the Division’s bylaws, the Committee will nominate five Council Members-at-Large to serve four-year terms. Minority applicants are encouraged. The duties, terms of office, and eligibility requirements for each of the positions to be filled are outlined in the Division’s bylaws. The questionnaire may be found on the website. 2012 GPSolo Division Fall Leadership Meeting and National Solo & Small Firm Conference
Register today for the 2012 National Solo & Small Firm Conference (NSSFC), which will take place in coordination with the ABA GPSolo Division’s Fall Leadership Meeting in Seattle, Washington. This year the schedule has been designed to ensure that all Fall Leadership Meeting attendees can participate in the CLE. The NSSFC attracts more than 200 solos and small firm practitioners annually from across the country and abroad. Attorneys attend this conference to expand their professional networks and pursue continuing legal education training. More information may be found on the Division’s website.
