On 9/20/10, the Administration for Children and Families, Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), announced a request for public comment on an information collection, Request for State Data Needed to Determine Amount of Tribal Family Assistance Grant, to be used by the Secretary to determine grants to tribes who applied to operate a Tribal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program. On 9/20/10, the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology, HHS, announced a 9/28/10 meeting of the Health IT Policy Committee’s Governance Workgroup in Washington, D.C., to draft a set of recommendations on the scope and process of governance for the nationwide health information network, including measures to ensure accountability and oversight. On 9/20/10, the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), HHS, announced a request for public comment on a proposed information collection project, the HRSA AIDS Drug Assistance Program Quarterly Report, a program that provides medications for the treatment of HIV disease, and to purchase health insurance for eligible clients or for services that enhance access, adherence, and monitoring of drug treatments. On 9/20/10, the Office of Thrift Supervision, Department of the Treasury, announced a request for public comment on an extension of an approved information collection concerning the Community Reinvestment Act, which requires OTS and other agencies to evaluate and assign ratings to the efforts of institutions to help meet the credit needs of their communities, including low- and moderate-income neighborhoods, consistent with safe and sound banking practices. On 9/20/10, the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), Department of Commerce, announced a request for public comment on an information collection examining pro-business strategies for incentivizing the development and widespread distribution of technologies that address humanitarian needs. On 9/20/10, the Agency for International Development announced a request for public comment on a renewal of an information collection, the Contract Employee Biographical Data Sheet, used as a part of USAID’s pre-award requirements to help determine if an offeror for a development contract has or can obtain the ability to competently manage development assistance programs utilizing public funds. On 9/20/10, the National Institute for Occupational Safety (NIOSH), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), HHS, announced a 10/07/10 meeting of the Advisory Board on Radiation and Worker Health via conference call, to discuss and advise the president on a policy and technical functions required to implement and effectively manage the new compensation program. On 9/20/10, the Wage and Hour Division, Department of Labor, announced an extension of an approved information collection, Disclosures to Workers Under the Migrant Seasonal and Agricultural Worker Protection Act. FR 57296.
On 9/20/10, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) announced a final rule, effective immediately, exempting 14 new systems of records from subsections of the Privacy Act, to be invoked on a case-by-case basis, as necessary, to preclude interference with investigatory, intelligence and counterterrorism functions and responsibilities of the ODNI.
