On 10/21/10, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), announced an 11/10/10 meeting of the National Advisory Council (NAC) via teleconference, to discuss revisions to the National Exercise Program (NEP). Comments are due 11/3/10. FR65026.
On 10/21/10, the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Public and Indian Housing, Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), announced a final rule effective 12/20/10, to implement a program to allow public housing agencies (PHAs) to use proceeds of their Capital Fund program for financing activities, including payment of debt service and housing development and modernization activities. On 10/21/10, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), DHS, announced a request for public comment on three extensions of currently approved information collections regarding eligibility to adjust an applicant’s residence status: Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status; Application to Adjust Status from Temporary to Permanent Resident; and Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence. On 10/20/10, the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), Department of Commerce, announced a request for public comment on a revision of a currently approved information collection, the Green Technology Pilot Program, which permits patent applications pertaining to green technologies, including greenhouse gas reduction, to be advanced out of turn for examination and reviewed earlier. On 10/21/10, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) announced a 10/25/10 and 10/26/10 meeting of the Advisory Committee on Disability Compensation in Washington, D.C., to receive briefings on issues related to compensation for veterans with service-connected disabilities and other VA benefits programs.
