On 3/31/10, ACF, HHS, announced the submission of a proposed information collection, the Strengthening Communities Fund Program Evaluation, which will obtain evaluation information from Strengthening Communities Fund grantees in order to examine the outcomes achieved by nonprofit organizations and state, local, and tribal governments in meeting the fund’s objectives. On 3/31/10, DHS announced a final rule updating the list of countries authorized to participate in the Visa Waiver Program by adding Greece. Citizens and eligible nationals of participating Visa Waiver Program countries may apply for admission to the United States at U.S. ports of entry as nonimmigrant aliens for a period of 90 days or less for business or pleasure without first obtaining a nonimmigrant visa, provided that they are otherwise eligible for admission under applicable statutory and regulatory requirements. On 3/31/10, the Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a final rule providing its interpretation of the civil penalty factors found in the Consumer Product Safety Act, the Federal Hazardous Substances Act, and the Flammable Fabrics Act as amended by Section 217 of the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008. These statutory provisions require the commission to consider certain factors in determining the amount of any civil penalty to seek. This final rule becomes effective 3/31/10. FR 15993 .
