On 6/15/10, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Department of Homeland Security, announced the availability of the final Recovery Fact Sheet, which describes assistance that FEMA may provide to publicly subsidized housing facilities under the Public Assistance Program. FEMA may provide funding to public housing authorities for their emergency work costs as well as the cost to repair, replace, or restore disaster-damaged public housing facilities in presidentially-declared major disasters and emergencies declared on or after 10/1/08. The fact sheet became effective 5/19/10. FR 33821.
Notices  
On 6/15/10, the Environmental Protection Agency announced a request for public comment on a proposed rule that would amend provisions in the 2009 Final Mandatory Greenhouse Gas Reporting Rule to correct certain technical and editorial errors that have been identified since promulgation and to clarify or propose minor updates to certain provisions that have been the subject of questions from reporting entities. Comments are due 7/30/10. FR 33949.

On 6/15/10, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Department of Justice, announced a request for public comment on a proposed extension of a currently approved information collection, the Application to Make and Register a Firearm, which is used by to determine the eligibility of individuals applying to make and register a firearm that falls within the purview of the National Firearms Act. Comments are due 8/16/10. FR 33826.

On 6/15/10, the Department of Health and Human Services announced a 6/29/10 meeting in Washington, DC, of the Health Information Technology Committee’s Privacy and Security Tiger Team to discuss technologies that enable consumer choice for sharing information in health information exchange. On 6/14/10, the Senate passed S Res 551, marking the one year anniversary of the 6/12/09 presidential election in Iran, and condemning ongoing human rights abuses in Iran.  
Presidential Action
On 6/14/10, the president transmitted a report to Congress continuing the national emergency declared 6/26/08 with respect to the current existence and risk of the proliferation of weapons-usable fissile material on the Korean Peninsula.

On 6/15/10, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) announced a request for public comment on a submitted information collection which will allow VA to collect information from private physicians to be used as supporting medical documentation for veterans’ disability claims.
