Floor Action  
On 7/13/10, the Senate began consideration of the conference report to accompany HR 4173, to promote the financial stability of the United States by improving accountability and transparency in the financial system, to end “too big to fail,” to protect the American taxpayer by ending bailouts, and to protect consumers from abusive financial services practices.  
Committee Action
On 7/13/10, the Senate Judiciary Committee approved HR 1933, to direct the attorney general to make an annual grant to the A Child Is Missing Alert and Recovery Center to assist law enforcement agencies in the rapid recovery of missing children.  
Notices  
On 7/14/10, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission announced a request for a 90-day emergency extension of the State and Local Government Information Report, which collects information from state and government employers regarding whether unlawful employment practices have been or are being committed. On 7/13/10, the Senate Judiciary Committee approved HR 2765, to amend Title 28, United States Code, to prohibit recognition and enforcement of foreign defamation judgments and certain foreign judgments against the providers of interactive computer services.

On 7/14/10, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced the establishment of the Advisory Board on Elder Abuse, Neglect, and Exploitation, which will examine the issues of elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation prevention, detection, treatment, intervention, and prosecution. On 7/14/10, FEMA, DHS, announced a request for public comment on a proposed revision to a currently approved information collection, the State Administrative Plan for the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program, a procedural guide that details how states will administer the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program.
