On 12/11/08, the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Community Planning and Development, Department of Housing and Urban Development, announced a final rule, effective 1/12/09, that codifies the scope of the match requirement in three grant programs administered under the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act. On 12/12/08, the Senate passed HR 7311, to authorize appropriations for fiscal years 2008 through 2011 for the Trafficking Victims Protection Act of 2000, to enhance measures to combat trafficking in persons and provide protections for unaccompanied alien children, clearing the measure for the president.
