On 4/24/08, the House Judiciary Committee ordered reported HR 4004, to amend the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act to exempt from the means test in bankruptcy cases, for a limited time, qualifying reserve-component members who, after 9/11/01, are called to active duty or to perform a homeland defense activity for not less than 60 days.

On 4/25/08 the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Housing--Federal Housing Commissioner, Department of Housing and Urban Development, issued a notice of funding availability. This funding opportunity is available for a demonstration program to provide assistance for intergenerational dwelling units for intergenerational families in connection with the supportive housing program under Section 202 of the Housing Act of 1959. The purpose of the program is to expand the supply of intergenerational dwelling units for very low-income grandparents or relatives 62 years of age or older raising a child. FR 22760.
