Smart Power: Ways to Work Smarter 2009 has brought a new year, a new U.S. president, and a new set of challenges for all of us. Change is the only constant, as unprecedented economic and foreign policy challenges continually emerge, with enormous implications for business operations and the legal profession. At the same time, we are collectively realizing that to meet these challenges, we must work smarter. It’s a time for “smart power,” as we’ve been hearing in the foreign policy context, and that means doing things differently and making full use of the resources available to us.

Cultivating Effective Trade Secret Protection Program The trade secret owner’s obligation to take reasonable measures under the circumstances to protect trade secret information is a crucial element of trade secret law. LegallyMinded is an online community serving the entire legal profession. It fuses articles, social-networking features, and user-generated content.
It’s a product liability case to the nth degree. An eminent scientist goes to court to stop other equally eminent practitioners from releasing its “product” on the grounds that the design is defective and the possible consequences to the public could be catastrophic.
