By John Glynn

Cindy Dyer, vice president of Vital Voices Global Partnership, stresses the importance of empowering survivors of gender-based violence through the provision of jobs and support.

Dyer participated in the March 5 panel "Gender-Based Violence Interventions in Conflict, Post-Conflict and Transitioning States," hosted by the ABA Rule of Law Initiative as part of its "Emerging Topics in the Rule of Law" conference.  The D.C.-based Vital Voices Global Partnership promotes women leaders in the areas of economic empowerment, political participation and human rights.
