“Constitutional Law for Kids” is a fun, interactive exploration of the rights and privileges guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution. Each chapter includes an analysis of a constitutional law topic, along with information on Supreme Court cases, vocabulary words and questions that can be used for response essays or discussion. Chapter topics include fundamental rights such as voting and due process, freedoms such as religion and expression, a review of the three branches of government and a look at current events.
“Constitutional Law for Kids” is intended as a middle-grade textbook or a kid-friendly version of a law book. The book includes full copies of the U.S. Constitution and the Bill of Rights and would be an excellent gift to convey the meaning of the Constitution, which was approved by the drafters on Sept. 17, 1787.
In late November, a Spanish-language edition of the book will also be available to help Spanish-speaking students and others interested in learning more about the U.S. system of government.
