Actress Mira Sorvino, United Nations goodwill ambassador to combat human trafficking, offers words of encouragement to lawyers attending the American Bar Association Criminal Justice Section’s Fifth Annual Fall Institute on Oct. 26 in Washington, D.C.
Sorvino says that lawyers can deliver a critical one-two punch to end human-trafficking by crafting the toughest anti-slavery laws, and giving the most robust interpretation and enforcement of those regulations.
