101E ADOPTED AS REVISED - Urges Reevaluation of Public Housing Admission and Termination Rules

RESOLVED, That the American Bar Association urges the federal government to encourage public housing authorities to to request that public housing authorities and other owners of federally subsidized rental reevaluate their current rules regarding admission, termination, and additions to household to ensure that, while resident safety is protected, those rules do not unfairly punish persons with criminal records.


FURTHER RESOLVED, That the American Bar Association urges the federal government to request public housing authorities and owners of subsidized rental housing to report to the applicable federal agency on their implementation plan for changes in housing rules and policies consistent with this resolution.
