The ABA membership year starts on September 1. ABA dues are prorated for members that join on or after September 16.
The ABA’s many specialty Sections, Divisions and Forums also offer membership with annual dues. Section, Division and Forum dues are not prorated.

If you are an attorney not licensed in the US, we welcome you to join the ABA as a non-US Licensed Lawyer member.

Individual ABA Dues for Law Students
Law Students: If you are currently enrolled in an ABA-accredited U.S. law school, you may join the ABA as a Student. Some law schools provide automatic membership to all their students.

Individual ABA Dues for Student Associates
Students not already admitted to the bar that are enrolled in higher-education studies such as an LLM or baccalaureate degree program may join the ABA as a student associate.
