About the Program

In today’s market, it is essential for young lawyers to develop themselves, not just at their desk, but outside the office to maximize effectiveness and marketability.  There are organizations and activities at the local, state and national level in which young lawyers can get involved, and present a plethora of opportunities for career development.  This Program will examine how to capitalize on those opportunities, and discuss:

  • Growing your network
  • Making a difference with pro bono
  • Developing skills
  • Utilizing leadership/writing/speaking opportunities
  • Client recruitment and retention
  • Balancing professional/personal obligations with extracurricular activities

Please note: The ABA is not requesting CLE accreditation for this program. However, if interested, you may be able to apply for credit directly with your state bar(s). Please contact your state bar for regulations and guidelines.
